This here 2-chord psychedelic soul freakout was written and gigged a bit back in 84/85 by MLATRFOD's precursors The Subterraneans - and also by the original 5-man Memphis Louie an' The Rockin' Firebirds of Death line-up.

Despite that, nobody dared to attempt a "studio" recording until the 21st century. You might say it's cause it wasn't worth the effort. We say that recording technology needed to advance for 30 more years before it was ready to capture the sounds ree-verberatin' in Leroi Z Coondawg's head when he wrote it.

As the title suggests, "18 'Gators in Space" examines the controversial question of alien alligators from space stealing people's minds - and remember it was written long before thon D*v*d Icke came along and jumped on the bandwagon. With apologies to the sleeve notes of the 13th Floor Elevators' "Psychedelic Sounds" album and The Seeds' "Web of Sound"
